Artist's statement: The Magic Pudding Stories are early 20th Century Australian children's stories, written by an Australian author Henry Lawson. He wrote them in what he called 'The Dark Ages' of WWI to cheer himself up. They tell of the unlikely adventures of a sailor Barnacle Bill, a penguin Sam Sawnoff, a koala Bunyip Bluegum. and Albert the Magic Pudding . Completing this artwork cheered me up in 'The Dark Ages' of our covid lockdown mid 2021.
